Sigenergy SigenStor

(For all SigenStor inverter-battery systems, including 5-in-1 units)

1. Check the WiFi signal at your inverter

  • Stand next to your SigenStor system and use your phone to confirm your home WiFi network appears in the list.
  • If the signal is weak or missing, you’ll need a WiFi extender or a wired Ethernet connection.
  • The SigenStor connects only to 2.4 GHz WiFi, not 5 GHz.

2. Restart the Sigenergy inverter

  • A full restart resets the unit and enables the WiFi hotspot required for reconnection.
  • Turn AC OFF
Inside the Sigenergy Gateway, locate the switch labelled “Inverter Supply” and switch it OFF.
  • Turn DC OFF
Open the small cover on the left side of the inverter by lifting it upwards.
Inside, turn the DC switch to the OFF position.
  • Wait a few minutes until the unit powers down completely.
  • Then restart in reverse order:
  • Turn DC ON
  • Turn AC / Inverter Supply ON
  • Allow several minutes for the system to fully reboot.
  • Once restarted, the inverter will automatically activate its internal WiFi hotspot.

3. Open the mySigen app

  • Launch the mySigen app on your phone.
  • If you don’t have it installed, download it from the App Store or Google Play.

4. Go to Settings

  • Tap Settings in the bottom right corner.

5. Open Network Configuration

  • Under More Settings, tap Connectivity.
  • Press Next to begin the network setup and follow the on-screen steps.

6. Scan the QR code

  • The app will open your camera.
  • Scan the QR code located inside the inverter, next to the DC switch.

7. Select the hotspot connection method

  • When prompted, choose:
  • “No, I want to connect device hotspot”.
  • This instructs the app to connect directly to the inverter’s hotspot.

8. Connect to the inverter hotspot

  • Tap Next, then Connect.
  • Your phone will join the inverter’s hotspot (usually named Sigen_xxxxxx).
  • If prompted, use the password: 12345678 (password may be different. Check with your installer)
  • Once connected, the app will search for available WiFi networks.
  • Select your home WiFi name, enter your password carefully (case-sensitive), and tap Join.

9. Confirm the connection

  • A tick will appear next to your chosen WiFi network once it is connected.
  • Tap Finished to complete the process.
  • Your SigenStor system will now reconnect to your home network and resume sending live data to the mySigen app.

Troubleshooting tips

  • Ensure you’re using the correct WiFi password.
  • Confirm your router’s 2.4 GHz band is active.
  • If the hotspot doesn’t appear, repeat Step 2 to restart the inverter.
  • For ongoing issues, contact your installer or reach out to Sigenergy Technical Support.
