Sigenergy SigenStor

Restarting your SigenStor correctly helps maintain system stability and protects the battery. Follow each step in order to ensure a safe and proper reset.

Before you begin

  • Restart during daylight hours if your system receives solar input.
  • Make sure there are no active backup loads running before shutting down.
  • Do not restart during firmware updates or while the system is in backup mode.
  • Avoid restarting during lightning activity or if any components appear damaged.

1. Turn off the AC isolator

  • Inside the Sigenergy Gateway, locate the switch labelled “Inverter Supply”.
  • Flip this switch OFF to remove AC power from the inverter.

2. Turn off the DC isolator

  • The DC isolator is inside the small cover on the left side of the inverter.
  • Lift the cover upwards to remove it.
  • Turn the switch labelled DC to the OFF position.

3. Wait 1–2 minutes

  • Let the system fully power down — all indicators and displays should switch off.
  • This pause allows internal components to discharge and ensures the reset applies correctly.

4. Turn the DC isolator ON

  • Switch the DC isolator ON and wait around five seconds.

5. Turn the AC isolator ON

  • Switch the AC isolator back ON.

6. Allow the inverter to reboot

  • The unit will run internal checks and re-establish communication.
  • Within a few minutes, the inverter screen or LEDs should indicate normal operation.

7. Confirm normal operation

  • Check the LED indicators — the AC, DC, and Battery lights should be green with no alarms.
  • Open the mySigen app to confirm that generation and communication data are updating correctly.
  • If a warning or fault returns, record the error code before contacting your installer or Sigenergy Support.

Tips

  • Don’t restart the system repeatedly — wait at least 1–2 minutes between shutdown and startup.
  • If the inverter won’t power back on, check that the DC isolator and PV strings are ON and that there is daylight available.
  • For larger systems, ensure all connected SigenStor units are restarted in the same order to avoid communication issues.
  • If errors persist after a proper restart, contact your installer or Sigenergy Technical Support.
